Could you foster Molly*,7?

24th October 2022

We are looking for a foster carer(s) living in Belfast or the surrounding areas for Molly*, age 7.

Molly* shoulder length strawberry blonde hair and the most mischievous smile. Molly is full of fun and loves to laugh.

Molly has a number of health issues which include Epilepsy, delayed speech and language and some hearing loss. Molly enjoys a variety of food and snacks including yoghurts and custard.

Molly is very affectionate to everyone she meets, she enjoys cuddles, sitting on your knee and playing with your hair. Molly talks with a speech impediment but it is possible to understand most of what she is saying. She will make a lot of gestures to tell you what she needs.

Molly requires constant supervision and needs encouragement to adhere to routines and boundaries. She benefits from having set routines throughout the day such as getting ready in the morning, set meal times and bed times.

Molly enjoys the outdoors, parks, going to soft play areas, the beach and walks. She also enjoys drawing and colouring in, playing with play doh and playing games on her iPad. Her favourite TV programmes are Cocomelon and Peppa Pig.

Molly attends a specialist school to meet her additional needs. Molly enjoys school and mixes well with pupils and staff. Molly needs to stay at her current school. Transport to and from school is arranged.

Molly requires a foster carer(s) who will give her plenty of love and affection. She gets on well with other children for short periods of time, however, she finds it challenging emotionally if the attention of adults is divided between her and other children. Therefore, she would need a foster carer(s) with no other children living in the home and someone who can provide her with the care and attention she needs.
