Learning Objectives:
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families (TCIf) is an internationally recognised programme that aims to improve the quality of crisis prevention and management.
The purpose of the TCIF systems is to provide crisis prevention and intervention models for carers to:
- Prevent crisis from occurring
- De-escalate potential crisis
- Manage crisis when they arise
- Reduce potential and actual injury to children and others
- Learn constructive ways of handling stressful situations
