2nd April 2026
Earlier this year, mother and daughter Judy and Roxy, graced our television screens as contestants on the UK hit show, The Traitors. Since leaving the castle, they have been actively campaigning across the UK to boost foster carer numbers, drawing on their own personal experience.
From their Instagram account @fosteradoptjourney, they are sharing stories and support for prospective and existing foster carers and adoptive parents, creating a safe space for honest conversations.
We are thrilled that they will be joining us in April to co-host a live chat. We’ll learn about their journeys as both foster carer and foster child, giving advice based on their own lived experience, whilst also exploring the world of fostering in Northern Ireland.
There are currently 3,514 children and young people living in foster care in Northern Ireland. As this figure continues to rise year on year, there is an urgent need for more foster carers. People like Roxy and Judy encourage more carers to come forward and remind others how vital foster caring is for our communities.
Join us on April 15th to hear Roxy’s story of being fostered from 18 months before finding her forever home with mum Judy at age 5, learn more about the fostering landscape here in Northern Ireland, and ask any questions you have about taking the next step.
