Foster Care Supports children and young people like Danny* when they need it most.

Who can be a foster carer? You can. Whatever skills and experience you bring to Foster Caring will have their benefits.  And there are children and young people for who your decision to foster will have a life-changing impact. Young people just like Danny*:

Danny*  is a 12 year old boy. He has dark hair, brown eyes and average height for his age.  Danny* is affectionate, sensitive and talented young man. He is artistic and uses his IT knowledge and skills to make short videos. Danny* is healthy and enjoys outdoors activities as well as swimming.  However, Danny* has challenges that most 12 year olds do not have. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorder. He has limited speech which has recently begun to develop and  can communicate his needs through short verbal prompts and gestures.

Danny* needs a home where his carers can offer him consistency of care, a good routine, reassurance and lots of positivity. Is your home an environment that is sensitive, trusting and calm where Danny* could thrive, and continue to develop in all areas of his life?

You will not be on your own, we will support you by:

· Providing a named  social worker who will be available to you

· Out of hours social work services

· Short breaks for Danny with another foster carer

· Training to enable you to understand Danny’s particular needs

· Additional monies of £22k per annum as well as fostering allowances.

If you feel you could be Danny’s* foster carer or want more information to help you decide, please get in touch by calling us on 0800 0720 137 or fill in our online form. We would love to hear from you.
