James* is a bright, joyful little boy with a big personality and an infectious smile. Full of energy and laughter, he brings fun and warmth wherever he goes.
James loves being active and playful. Trips to the park are a favourite activity, especially the swings and slides, and he also enjoys climbing, soft play, and games filled with chasing, tickles, and giggles. Bubbles, puppets, and anything that makes fun noises, like the hoover or hairdryer, capture his attention and bring him real joy.
James is a very affectionate child who thrives on closeness. He loves cuddles, holding hands, and sitting with trusted adults for stories or to watch a favourite programme. He has built a strong bond with his carers and clearly enjoys meaningful connection and shared play.
James is currently non-speaking and is being supported to develop his communication. He expresses himself in his own way and enjoys interaction, particularly through play and shared experiences.
Like many young children who have had a difficult start in life, James has some additional needs. He can find busy or unfamiliar environments overwhelming at times and needs support to manage his emotions. He also requires close supervision, as he has little awareness of danger and is an active, curious child who loves to explore and climb. With consistent, nurturing care, he has already made lots of progress.
James would benefit from carers who can offer:

- Patience and understanding of his developmental needs
- Opportunities for active, sensory-rich play
- Close supervision and gentle, consistent support
James’ foster carer(s) will receive ongoing support from an experienced social work team, access to specialist guidance where needed, training opportunities, and financial allowances.
James is truly a delight to be around – fun-loving, affectionate, and full of potential. With the right family, he will continue to grow, flourish, and bring so much happiness into a loving home.
