Hanna* is 13 years old. She is tall and sporty with long ash coloured hair. She likes going to school and wants to be able to have a career in beauty. Hanna always completes her homework there are no concerns about attendance. Hanna also takes part in gaelic and netball after schools clubs and is active in playing these outside of school as well, playing matches over the weekends. Hanna is also popular within local clubs and adapts easily to being part of teams.
Like a typical teenager, Hanna loves her fashion and makeup and welcomes any opportunity to go shopping with her friends.
She also enjoys her local drama club and independently attends the gym.
Hanna is outgoing, fun and witty with a good sense of humour. While Hanna often appears confident, her life experiences have affected this, leading her to seek reassurance about how others perceive her, which can impact upon friendships on occasions.
Hanna has a soft, gentle side and thrives on engaging in activities with both adults and peers. She can also be strong minded and determined which leads to her to push back about very small boundary setting. At times, Hanna struggles with managing her feelings and benefits from the listening ear and support of her carer during such times.
Hanna is very close to her three siblings and although they do not live together, she appreciates getting to see them on a regular basis. Hanna also has monthly supervised visit with her mum and grandparent and this is arranged and managed by the Trust.
Hanna requires a long-term foster home, with a nurturing carer/s who can invest time in her and support her in developing independent life skills as she transitions through her teenage years into adulthood.
A fee in addition to fostering allowances and additional supports are available for Hanna’s foster carer/s.
