Eva* (14) is a bubbly, respectful and well-mannered young person, who enjoys banter with her foster family. She is a valued member of the household and engages positively and naturally with everyone in the home.
Despite her difficult life experiences, Eva has been complimented for her strength and resilience. She is independent, takes pride in her self-care and happily contributes to household tasks.
School attendance is excellent for Eva, who enjoys the school environment and regularly discusses her day with her carers. Teaching staff commend Eva; they describe her as a positive, engaging and adaptable young person, with a natural ability to communicate genuinely with both staff and peers. Eva can express her thoughts and feelings with confidence and will ask for support in a calm and mature way. She has a good moral understanding and will consider other people’s feelings.
While Eva enjoys socialising with others, she also values time alone in her bedroom, which is considered typical for her age. Eva likes fashion and makeup, and attending school-aged discos. She particularly enjoys discussing her style choices and planning what she will wear. When Eva talks about moving to a new foster family, she shares her wish to join the local camogie and soccer clubs, and get back to learning piano.
Eva manages a food allergy with the supervision and support of her care givers. Eva’s new foster carer(s) will receive training and advice so that they can feel confident in their role.
