**NEW** Could you foster Emily (6) and Ethan (4) (siblings)?

22nd January 2026

EMILY* (6)

Emily is turning 6 years old very soon. She has fair hair with a fringe and brown eyes. She has a beautiful smile and mischievous laugh.

Emily is an adventurous little girl and loves to be outside tending to the plants in her garden or riding her bike or scooter or petting the Shetland pony Tinny in her current foster home. She is also soft and gentle, particularly towards her younger brother Ethan*.

Emily enjoys helping with “the housework” and taking care of her dolls. She loves the Disney movie ‘Frozen’ and knows all the words to the song which she sings proudly, she sings this in her Spiderman outfit! Emily loves to sing and has a karaoke machine which has developed her singing skills! Emily loves the Gruffalo book and will read Ethan stories.

Emily is in Primary 2. She plays well with others, enjoys learning and is doing really well. She is super clever and confidently waves goodbye to her foster carers each day. Emily settled well into school and is always excited to tell her foster carers about her day at school. Emily enjoys Irish Dancing and has previously danced at a Fostering Achievement event where she got an award.

ETHAN* (4)

Ethan is 4 years old. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Ethan is a bubbly little boy with the most infectious giggle.

Ethan loves nursery rhymes and dancing along to the music. He is a curious little boy and likes to play with blocks and trucks. Ethan loves being outside, from fixing ‘broken’ hoovers in the shed to riding the lawnmower, to brushing the yard and helping out with the horses.

Ethan is always outside pottering about. He is affectionate and will cuddle in to his carers for comfort. Ethan has eczema and sometimes his skin can become dry and red, but he is now on a dairy free diet and uses creams which have both improved things.

Ethan has had some developmental delay; however, he is making great progress with all aspects of his development. He has a lovely funny character all of his own and is becoming much more sociable and comfortable with adults and children at his day care and nursery.

The siblings live together in a busy and nurturing foster home. They are the only children in the foster home; however, their foster carers have older birth children. The children share a strong bond and have lived together since Ethan’s birth. Emily can be very mothering to Ethan and Ethan enjoys playing with his sister and will often follow her inquisitively, wanting to be involved in whatever she is doing. It is, therefore, very important that Emily and Ethan find a home together.

Emily and Ethan have contact fortnightly with their birth mum and their grandmother joins once a month.

Emily and Ethan would benefit from a long-term foster family and a warm, secure and loving home. With love, stability, and encouragement, they will flourish as part of a family and wider community. Their foster carer(s) will receive financial support, ongoing social work support, as well as training and development opportunities.
