Enda* and Emma* are a delightful sibling pair who share a close and loving bond. They are currently thriving together in a stable foster home, where they have developed positive attachments and are making excellent progress. Finding an adoptive family who can provide them with a permanent home together is a matter of great importance.
Enda (age 2)
Enda is an energetic, curious and active little boy who enjoys exploring the world around him. He is interested in a wide variety of toys and can often be found busily investigating his environment. He enjoys watching television and taking part in activities that stimulate his curiosity and support his learning and development.
One of the most important relationships in Enda’s life is with his younger sister, Emma. He enjoys spending time with her, engaging in play and sharing experiences together. Enda is a sociable child who seeks interaction with familiar adults and responds well to attention, encouragement and praise.
Enda is currently undergoing assessment following concerns identified through genetic testing regarding a possible genetic condition. Further investigations are ongoing. He is also receiving support from Speech and Language Therapy due to delayed language development and has shown encouraging progress in his communication skills. He is beginning to imitate sounds, use gestures effectively and direct vocalisations towards adults.
In addition, Enda attends a SureStart programme, where he thoroughly enjoys the play-based activities and opportunities to interact with other children. The programme continues to support his speech, language and social development, and he benefits greatly from these experiences.
Emma (age 1)
Emma is a happy, affectionate and content baby who enjoys close, nurturing relationships with the adults who care for her. She particularly loves cuddles, one-to-one interaction and the attention of those around her, responding warmly to affection and reassurance.
As she grows, Emma is becoming increasingly curious about her surroundings. She enjoys sensory play and exploring her environment through tummy time, rolling, and interacting with toys and objects that she can reach, hold and transfer between her hands. She is developing her communication skills through babbling and enjoys engaging with others through smiles, sounds and social interaction.
Despite her very young age, Emma has made positive progress across all areas of her development and continues to flourish within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Their Future
Enda and Emma have a strong sibling relationship that is already an important source of comfort, companionship and connection for both children. Maintaining this precious bond is essential, and they urgently require an adoptive family who can offer them a loving, stable and permanent home together.
With the right family, Enda and Emma have every opportunity to continue thriving, developing and enjoying childhood side by side, supported by the security, love and lifelong commitment of their adoptive parents.
