Lucy* is a bright and energetic 10-year-old girl who needs a long-term foster home within the South Eastern area.
Lucy has fair hair, blue eyes, and a lively personality. She is bright, bubbly, and full of energy, with a curious mind and a love for staying active.
Lucy attends a mainstream school and enjoys taking part in after-school clubs, sports, and other activities. She especially enjoys football, swimming, gymnastics, and also has a real interest in music, singing, and dancing. Lucy has received several certificates for her involvement and effort in these areas.
Lucy has a diagnosis of ADHD, which means she’s full of energy and always on the go. While she sometimes finds boundaries a challenge, she has made significant progress in her current foster home. With a consistent routine and clear expectations, she has responded well and continues to develop positively.
Lucy enjoys company and tends to seek out adult attention. She would be best suited to a home where she is the only child or with older children who can understand and support her needs. She is very chatty, enjoys asking questions, and is usually happy to talk about her thoughts and worries with trusted adults. Reassurance and patience help her feel safe and understood.
Maintaining a relationship with her birth family is very important to Lucy. She looks forward to family time, though she may occasionally need some emotional support afterwards to help process her feelings.
Lucy has benefited from her time in short-term foster care and is now ready for a long-term home. She needs committed foster carers who can offer a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where she can continue to grow and thrive. Lucy’s foster carer(s) will receive financial support, ongoing social work support, as well as training and development opportunities.
