Check out the new podcast on kinship foster care created by the fostering team in the Southern area where they chat to Tommy and his wife, Veronica, about their journey as kinship foster carers for their grandchildren. The siblings were eventually able to return home successfully to their mum.

As a result of their experience as kinship foster carers, they have now become foster carers for another child (not related to them) who has been with the couple for the last 11 months.

Tommy said, “We get so much out of fostering. It develops you as a person. When you see the young person moving along well in their life, despite their challenges, and seeing the good change in them, it’s wonderful.”

It’s well worth a listen.
