4th September 2020
In 2018 – 2019, there were nearly 300 young people aged 12 – 17 years admitted into care. That means 33% of all care admissions are teenagers. Unfortunately there continues to be an increasing and pressing need for Foster Care homes for teenagers. Each and every one of these young people deserve a chance. A stable and safe home, and the opportunity to make a positive future for themselves.
Teenagers are (more) independent, good craic & at an important stage in their life. They need a loving home to help them become the adult they deserve to be. But don’t just take our word for it… Click here & then ‘Fostering Teenagers’ to view what our foster carers have to say about it.
We really need ordinary people like you to come forward, get in touch & learn more about being a foster carer to teens in our care.
Follow us on Facebook & Twitter to keep up to date with our two week campaign to recruit foster carers for teenagers. From Mon 10th – Saturday 22nd you’ll learn about the support available to foster carers, types of foster care, the process to become a foster carer & much more.
Listen out for our radio adverts across the fortnight on Cool FM, Downtown, Downtown Country & Q-Radio or listen to both below:
