Eva* is 14 years and 9 months of age. She is a warm, engaging young person who enjoys the company of adults and presents as thoughtful and creative. Eva is polite and gentle in her manner and benefits from calm, nurturing relationships where she feels safe and supported.
Eva is in generally good health and enjoys a varied diet, however can struggle at times with over-eating or under-eating, depending on her mood. At times, she can struggle to independently manage her personal self-care routines and benefits from gentle prompts and reassurance from her caregivers to support her with daily tasks. Clear routines and patient encouragement help Eva feel confident and settled.
Eva enjoys quieter activities and has a strong interest in reading, particularly books related to her favourite stories such as Harry Potter. She also enjoys writing and spending time doing arts and crafts, which provide her with a positive outlet for creativity and self-expression. Eva particularly values one-to-one time with trusted adults and thrives when given opportunities to engage in shared activities or conversations.
Emotionally, Eva can be sensitive and benefits from reassurance. She may find peer relationships challenging at times and can be vulnerable within friendships. Eva requires support and guidance to help her navigate social situations safely, including understanding appropriate boundaries and developing confidence in peer interactions. She also requires supervision and support to help her stay safe online, as she may find it difficult to recognise potential risks without adult guidance.
Eva has struggled with school attendance over the last two years, however since beginning a new alternative education placement, her attendance has improved and she has reported much more positively about her schooling. Eva will benefit from support with revision and exam preparation so that she can fully demonstrate her knowledge and understanding.
Eva responds well to predictable routines and clear expectations. She benefits from being prepared in advance for any changes, which helps reduce anxiety and supports her emotional regulation. With consistent care and positive reinforcement, Eva continues to make progress in building independence and self-esteem.
Eva’s foster carer(s) will receive financial support, ongoing social work support, as well as access to training and development opportunities to support them in meeting Eva’s needs.
