We are looking for a long-term foster home for Kaiden* within the Northern area.
Kaiden is a vibrant energetic 8 year old boy who has the most beautiful green eyes and has lovely fair hair.
Up until very recently, he used to live on a farm and he enjoyed the outdoors and could walk the fields with his carers. He loves nature and animals, being outside and in particular the beach. He also enjoys walks in the forest.
In terms of being cared for, Kaiden loves cuddles and is very caring and loving towards others and is good with younger children. He responds well to tight hugs. He sleeps well and loves a bedtime story at night.
When Kaiden is playing he enjoys building forts and does this with blankets in the home and likes to sit under them. He loves to learn about new things and is curious on how things work and is very creative and imaginative. Like most young children, he enjoys the Ipad and Roblox is his favourite game to play. His other interests include lego and he also likes playing board games although he does enjoy winning! He loves the company of his carers and likes them to be close by when he is playing given his past experiences as he requires reassurance.
Kaiden is incredibly smart far beyond his years. He has a fantastic sense of humour and is witty and kind. Social workers would say he is inquisitive and humorous. At present, he is not in school but the plan is to reintegrate him back in when he has some stability with a foster family.
Kaiden sees his grandmother each week, which he enjoys, and also has contact with his mother every month.
Ideally Kaiden requires a foster family where one foster carer is at home full-time. It would be our preference that Kaiden is not placed in the Antrim or Templepatrick area.
Kaiden’s foster carer(s) will receive a specific fee per annum in addition to fostering allowances, alongside ongoing social work support and training and development opportunities.
