Introduction to Play Therapy
This Training will be beneficial to all carers who have pre-school and primary school children in their care. We will explore how Play Therapy can help children understand muddled up feelings and upsetting events that they have not had the chance to do properly. Children use play to communicate at their level and pace without feeling questioned. Play Therapy helps children in a range of ways including helping them understand more about their own feelings; their own lived experiences helping them make sense of their past or difficult experiences. Children also learn new ways to manage relationships and conflicts more appropriately, helping to promote their self-esteem and reducing potential anxieties.
